Titanfall 2 Review – March 2017
Titanfall was an innovative shooter, but the lack of a single player campaign and the fact that it was a new IP made it rather forgettable. This was unfortunate, because there were some really good ideas behind this game, some of which were expanded upon in this new entry named Titanfall 2.
At its core, the game’s single player is spectacular, you play alongside a titan named BT and your primary concern is to complete all the tasks placed in front of you as fast as possible. There are boss battles, but the primary focus is the interaction between machine and pilot. They created a beautiful experience here and one that shows just how intricate and unique the entire development can be!
Titanfall 2: Game play
When it comes to the game play on its own, you have pretty much the first game with some new elements. You can play as a pilot and then you basically enter a regular shooter experience, but at times you can also enter the titan. Here you have access to special abilities and other cool things offered by the game.
They also added some things like a grappling hook that just make the experience a lot more distinct and fun than what you expect. They did a very good job at bringing in more executions and there are lots of upgrade options overall. In fact, you see that the game just brings you more content and ways to explore the options right in front of you.
Once you start the multiplayer, you will find 6 different titan classes. Some of them are better than others when it comes to speed, others are full of armor, while others can be amazing death machines. Titanfall 2 comes with a unique unlock system that allows you to easily unlock all the stuff you need inside the game with little to no effort. It’s similar to COD, since you can level up and unlock these as you see fit. However, you can also unlock the desired items and abilities with points that you earn as you play.
The customization options are abundant. You can paint your titan in many ways, there are lots of great skins and overall you can easily change your titan to look in any way you want. They did a very good job when it comes to bringing you a delightful, unique experience and that on its own will be great for sure.
Titanfall 2: Multiplayer
The multiplayer in Titanfall 2 is simply amazing, frantic and just a lot of pure fun. They did a very good job at combining a good multiplayer with stellar singleplayer, so Titanfall 2 is indeed a stellar game that you will want to play again and again. The value is there, the gameplay is extremely rewarding and you do have the great unlock system that makes you play more and more.
Graphically, Titanfall 2 might not be the best looking game out there, but it does have some amazing locations especially when you visit the Alien planets. Overall, Titanfall 2 is a delightful, nice game to play and a surprise for any shooter fan. If you have even the remote interesting in fun FPS games that are fast paced and a lot of fun, Titanfall 2 is certainly right up your alley, so you should check it out!
We give Titanfall 2 a 9/10!
